Submarine M522

On the edge of the harbor, I look through the mirror.
Translucent darkness fades below the surface.
I take a deep breath, and prepare to dive.
The voyage below is calling my name.
“Come down with us,” they say.
The fish or whoever “they” may be.
So I close my eyes, jump and break the crest with a bust.
Beneath the surface, silence drowns
the nautical whispers of current’s flow.
Above me is the sky. It gently waves and floats,
as the belly of passing boats shadow the sun.
The whales moan aquatic songs of ambient blues
and sunken wonder. Inside my submarine
I sink deeper and deeper away.

I have currently been busy with life and I will be re-publishing older poems. New poems will come. I'm always under construction.
